Kids to Concerts Program
Kids to Concerts is generously supported by the Sharon Gewirtz Memorial Fund, Harpley Foundation, the Stevens Foundations, and the Harvard Musical Association
Many students do not have the opportunity to attend to live performances of any kind, but most especially to see their peers perform. Kids to Concerts addresses the need for encouragement and inspiration for grades 5-8 as they are so easily distracted from the difficult challenge of learning to play a string instrument.
Kids to concerts is carried out via an aggressive program of discounted or complimentary tickets in combination with transportation assistance to our family-orientated programs, especially concerts at which NESE Youth Concerto Competition winners perform.
Sharon Gewirtz was a dedicated NESO musician who passed away in June 2007. The Kids to Concert Program is dedicated to her. Click here for more information about Sharon.
